Space Parachuting
Another version of Space Tourism consists of jumping from Space with a parachute. It seems to be possible according to the private company Orbital Outfitters
(that have been working considerable time on a space outfit) for a human being to return to earth from an altitude of 60km , 90km and even more.
An outfit composed of space material that will have to bear extremes of temperatures as well as friction and massive de-acceleration.
The future parachutists will reach a speed of 4000 km per hour and in one minute they will de-accelerate to 190 km per hour.
There are a lot of challenges that they will have to face before a human being will be able to return alive from this trip, explains the scientific
publication of Popular Science.
To be able to carryout the test and demonstrate that the project is possible, Orbital Outfitters need a vehicle to be able to reach the altitude
necessary for the jumps. To achieve that, they have partnered with one of the private companies (owned by the entrepreneur, John Carmark) that develop
spaceships able to carry out suborbital flights. The company expects to equip the suborbital flights with these suits for emergency use purposes as well
as the specific use for parachutists.
